Hello from Argentina! I arrived in Mendoza at 4:00 yesterday after many very long (and sleepless) hours of flying. The trip was completely worth it, though: Mendoza is absolutely gorgeous, and the flight over the Andes Mountains was breathtaking. My host family has been wonderful so far, and everything that I’ve eaten has been delicious- especially the pasta and the ice cream! It turns out that even after 7 years of studying Spanish, I still have lots to learn when it comes to conversation; luckily for me, I’m in the perfect place to do just that.

¡Hola de Argentina! Llegué en Mendoza ayer a las 4:00 después de muchas horas de vuelo (sin dormir). Sin embargo, el viaje totalmente valió la pena: Mendoza es muy linda, y el vuelo sobre los Andes fue magnífico. Mi familia anfitriona ha sido fantástica, y todo que he comido ha sido rico- ¡especialmente la pasta y el helado! He descubierto que incluso después de 7 años de estudio en el español, todavía tengo mucho para aprender; afortunadamente para mí, estoy en el lugar perfecto para hacer exactamente eso.
